3475 Las Vegas Boulevard South

Rita Rudner

The Venetian is one of Las Vegas’ most luxurious hotels. Located next to the busy corner of Spring Mountain and Las Vegas Blvd. across the street from the Mirage it is easily identified by its beautifully carved exterior and a large obelisk. Keeping with its ethos of elegance, class and style Rita Rudner does her act dressed in a glamorous robe and does not rely on dirty jokes, props, or other comedy devices.

She is often called the “queen of clever one-liners” Rita Rudner actually started as a dancer and performer in New York, but soon found a love for comedy. She’s been doing her act in Vegas for quite some time to the delight of visitors and locals alike. The routine is a non-stop stream of just off the norm observations on everyday life that nearly anyone can relate to, delivered in dead-pan style all her own. Some of the subjects include Las Vegas itself, getting older, the difference between men and women, and more. The humor is most attractive to the elderly and those who generally are not huge fans of raunchier humor, or the very young. Think the comedy on television in the 50’s and you’ll have an idea of the tone.
