Menopause The Musical

The Luxor is an iconic hotel casino located on the south end of the Strip next to Mandalay Bay. The 30 story black glass pyramid is one of the largest casino floors in Las Vegas and in the world at over 100,000 square feet with over 2,000 slot machines. It is also home of the world’s largest atrium with shopping, restaurants, and entertainment. The unique and beautiful shape and gorgeous greenery surrounding Luxor is not the most eye-catching feature however, at night the single beam of light emanating from the tip can be seen from miles around. Another light note, within the casino designed after the ancient tombs, is the brilliant show Menopause the Musical.

Hot flashes, mood swings, memory loss and weight gain isn’t fun, but it can be funny. The show turns these signs of aging in women into a comedic song and dance that follows the experiences of four different characters. During the show enjoy popular songs from decades past, the 50’s, 60’s, and 70’s.

The show begins when the characters run into one another at a lingerie sale and get into an argument over who saw a bra they all want to buy first – they realize their heightened emotions over the garment stems from, well “change” in their condition. Some conversation leads to a performers singing “change, change, change of life” to the popular Aretha song “Chain of Fools.” You are brought through a number of similar scenes, each filled with a mix of song, dance and comedy.
