The Magic & Tigers of Rick Thomas

Between Paris and Harrah’s and directly across the street from Caesars Palace, this is a property that has gone through perhaps more renovations, changes of ownership, name changes, and closures than any property on the Strip. Thanks to endless renovations and a completed updated look appealing to a completely different crowd, the former Aladdin, today Planet Hollywood, is one of the most popular locations on the Strip and won’t be closing again any time soon. That’s a good thing because it is home of a very unique (though not necessarily original, think Siegfried and Roy) show, The Magic and Tigers of Rick Thomas.

If you like magic, and you like animals, than this show is for you. You’ll see Bengal tigers, white tigers, birds disappearing and much more to keep your interest. Along with wild animals watch out for vanishing motorcycles, levitating objects and of course dancing… Well dancing might be a little unexpected, but you’ll get it here. The main attraction is of course the tigers. Along with entertaining Thomas raises awareness of these beautiful creatures’ plight. There are only 1,000 left in the wild. During the show you’ll pick up a ton of information along with being entertained, for instance tigers can gain up to 16 pounds a day during their first two and a half years. At one point Thomas chooses a couple of lucky children from the audience who get to help him in one of his levitation tricks.

HoursTickets start at $43.99 and tickets including a tiger encounter are available.
