Barry Manilow

It is the top place for lovers on the Strip and a popular spot for a wide range of tourists not necessarily seeking a romantic fling. It is conveniently located right in the middle of the Strip between the Venetian and Planet Hollywood and across from the Mirage. It is easily identified by a replica of the Eiffel Tower and a very “French” setting in general. It is of course the Paris and among the many things this famed resort is well known for is a regular concert performed by Barry Manilow.

Everyone knows the name as soon as they hear it, Barry Manilow has sold more than 80 million records around the world and his career has spanned 35 years. What a lot of people may not know about Manilow is that he actually started his career in part as a jingle writer and has penned some well known jingles like “I am stuck on Band-Aid ‘cause Band-Aid’s stuck on me” and “Like a good neighbor State Farm is there.” Some other highlights include his first “big break” as Bette Midler’s music director, arranger and pianist in 1971, and between 1975 and 1983 he had 25 consecutive top 40 hits. The show is a mix of Manilow relating facets of his life, and of course a wide range of great music played by Manilow of course.
