THEhotel is not a casino but guests have full access to all Mandalay Bay has to offer.
THEhotel is located next to Mandalay Bay, which is the southernmost casino on what could be considered the Strip. It is easily recognized by the bright glittering gold exterior right next to the huge Mandalay Bay. They pride themselves on upscale amenities and gourmet restaurants. It is a 43 story boutique hotel with a cosmopolitan look and art from names like Arturo Herrera, Jasper Johns and Andy Warhol.
THEhotel generally attracts a more upscale crowd, however being connected to Mandalay Bay this is a good choice for a wide range of people from those here on business, to families, and the party crowd since it offers easy access to some of the most popular party spots in Las Vegas through Mandalay Bay. As is the case with all Strip hotels booking in advance is highly recommended. However you may have better luck finding a room at THEhotel compared to hotels connected to casinos, so if you are making last minute Vegas plans keep THEhotel in mind.
THEhotel is a five star hotel, and fairly new. In addition it is connected to one of the most popular casinos on the Strip and located on Las Vegas Blvd, and the rates reflect this. This is not a good option for those looking to save money on their Vegas vacation. That said for the accommodations they are priced reasonably, and comparable to other recent additions to casinos along the Strip. Gambling, restaurant, and shopping are for the most part located in Mandalay Bay, these prices are on the upper end of average by Strip standards.
There are 1,117 rooms, all suites. The rooms are ultra modern with dark wood and earth tones. The typical suite is very large at 750 square feet. Each room has a 42 inch plasma screen television and the second room a 32 inch flat screen. Each has its own bar as well.
Mix Lounge is a popular spot located at the top of the tower.
Mix is a restaurant by day. They also have a coffee house.
All of the services and amenities of a 5 star hotel. Ask your concierge or the front desk if you have any specific needs.

Mandalay Bay has an absolutely enormous casino at 135,000 square feet, and here you will find 122 tables with all of the popular casino games including Blackjack, Caribbean Stud Poker, Craps, Let It Ride, Pai Gow Poker, and Roulette. They have 2,400 slot machines with a wide range of games including Megabucks and Super Megabucks. They have a very nice poker room. Their Race and Sports Book seats 300 and has 84 televisions and 17 big screens.
Dinning options are nearly endless. Some of your options include; Aureole, Bay Side Buffet, Beach Bar & Grill, Border Grill, China Grill, House of Blues, Mizuya, The Noodle Shop, Orchid Lounge, Raffles Café, Red White and Blue, Red Square, Shanghai Lilly, Strip Steak, Trattoria del Lupo, Sports Book Grill, Fleur, plus a large food court and several more restaurants in the Mandalay Bay shopping center. You won’t go hungry in Mandalay Bay.
Alcohol is served in nearly every corner of the casino including two frozen drink stations located toward the entrances and bars on the casino floor. It is generally very lively at all hours. Several of the nightclubs and restaurants double as bars during the day. Drinks are free for gamblers and tipping is customary.
There are tons of shopping options in Mandalay Bay. First connecting Mandalay Bay and Luxor is a high end boutique with a number of brand name shops. Within Mandalay itself you’ll find the House of Blues gift shop, Pearl Moon Boutique, jungle juice, Rangoon News Bureau, Oro Gold, M Logo Store, be jeweled, Davidoff, and Jack Gallery.
Mandalay Bay has perhaps the most options of any casino in Las Vegas for Nightlife. Some popular options include the Foundation Room on the upper floor, Late Night at House of Blues, eyecandy, Mix Lounge, Minus5, and the House of Blues inside Mandalay Bay has concerts from top name artists regularly. Red Square and Rumjungle Nightclub are currently closed, though they are bars/ restaurants during the day still.
One of the larges convention areas in Las Vegas and the largest within a single casino’s property at 1.8 million square feet.
They have the larges pool on the Strip at 11 full acres. It features a beach environment and three different pools. Here you will also find an adult only topless pool, Moorea Beach Club and a 1.6 million gallon wave pool with a real beach.
They have a 12,000 seat events center which hosts headline acts regularly. The House of Blues within is a popular spot for live music and features the top bands in every genre. Steel Panther is an excellent if not as well known show featuring 80’s Hair Band parody and music. The Lion King is performed within the House of Blues weekly.
