The interior is described as “delightfully tacky, yet unrefined” they keep the classic “Hooters” look – both the decoration and the employees – but expanded your classic Hooters to include of course gambling. It has a tropical theme and a palpable party atmosphere. Everyone from the dealers to the bartenders and cocktail waitresses are dressed in the classic Hooters orange and white.
Hooters is a smaller Hotel casino but is easily identified right next to the Strip and on one of the busiest streets in Vegas, Tropicana Ave, by the classic Hooters signage. Hooters caters to a younger crowd of party goers and is a popular spot for vacationers staying nearby who suddenly get a craving for excellent wings and a friendly atmosphere. It is one of the smaller hotel casinos in the area, and is generally fairly busy.
Its location just off the Strip is within walking distance of most Strip locations. Rooms are generally easier to book here, but Hooters does fill up during the summer months, holidays, and popular weekends. It is a popular spot for sports fans during all seasons and during the summer and Spring Break. During NASCAR and the rodeo specifically Hooters can fill up nearly to capacity fairly quickly. Booking in advance is highly recommended.
Hooters is a small casino by Vegas standards, and particular for a casino so close to the Strip, at only 30,000 square feet. They have 670 slot and video poker machines that feature a range of popular games. They have 32 table games that include Blackjack, Craps, Caribbean Stud Poker, Roulette, Pai Gow Poker, Let It Ride, and Keno. They also have a cozy poker room at Pete and Shorty’s Book and Bar. This is also their Sports Book, it is small by Vegas standards but is popular and often full, especially during popular sporting events.
There are only 696 rooms, this includes 17 suites. This is one of the smallest hotels anywhere this close to the Las Vegas Strip. Due perhaps more to its size than its location or prices, it can fill quickly during popular holidays and weekends. The rooms are fairly average in size, but well kept, clean, and modern. It is a three star hotel and generally gets fair ratings. People generally book rooms here for the fair rates and its proximity to the Strip and popular spots like MGM, New York-New York, and Excalibur.
Prices at Hooters are very fair, from the room rates to the gambling limits, restaurants, and shopping – specifically when compared to the nearby casinos on the Strip. Room rates will vary according to season, occupancy, and any special events taking place in Las Vegas. The tables are known for lower than average limits for this particular area of Las Vegas. Naturally hot wings are a favorite here, and this as well as other meals are priced very well.
As mentioned, Hooters is known for hot wings, and this particular Hooters is no different. Your eating options include Hooters, Pete and Shorty’s, The Bait shoppe, and Mad Onion.
Hooters Hotel Casino has three bars, Porch Dogs, Dixie’s Dam Bar, and the Pool Bar. They cater to a younger party crowd and can get quite busy. In addition the casino bar serves alcohol 24/7 and drinks are free for gamblers and tipping is customary.
Tito Ortiz’s Punishment MMA Store is one of the most popular and unique stores in Hooters. In addition you’ll find the Bait Shoppe and Splurge here. They have two gift shops as well, both with very fair prices.
There are no nightclubs at Hooters. The three bars, Porch Dogs, Dixie’s Dam Bar, and the Pool Bar are open at all hours and quite lively.
Services at Hooters are a bit more limited than Strip casino services; however they offer all of the common services like maid service, luggage, wake up calls, and more. Ask front desk or your concierge if you have specific needs.
Hooters has limited convention space at 2,800 square feet. They are located across from the MGM which is one of the more popular spots for convention goers. Also this is a popular spot for those attending conventions elsewhere due to the low prices and excellent location.
They have two small pools with hot tubs for hotel guests.
For a smaller hotel Hooters offers a descent range of entertainment including the popular Men of X performing at Dixie’s Dam Bar – it should be noted this is a male review. The Night Owl Showroom is home of The Dirty Joke Show and a handful of other shows. Purple Reign-The Ultimate Prince Tribute Show is also in the showroom. Nippers Pool Bar and Porch Dogs Club will have various entertainment on particular dates as well.
Hooters does not have a spa.
